Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the much-anticipated 2025 Honda Rebel 500 cruiser motorcycle in the Indian market.
Company has launched this bike at the starting priced at ₹5.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram), this model marks Honda’s entry into the mid-capacity cruiser segment in India.
Bookings are now open at select Bigwig Topline dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with deliveries slated to commence in June 2025.

2025 Honda Rebel 500: Design
The 2025 Honda Rebel 500 showcases a minimalist yet striking design, blending classic cruiser aesthetics with modern elements. Its low-slung stance, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and wide handlebars offer a relaxed riding posture.
The motorcycle features a full LED lighting system, including a signature round headlamp, and an inverted LCD instrument cluster that provides essential ride information.
The Rebel 500 is available in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic color scheme, emphasizing its stealthy and sophisticated appeal.

2025 Honda Rebel 500: Powertrain
Powering the 2025 Honda Rebel 500 is a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that delivers 46 hp at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, tuned for a torque-heavy low-end response, making it suitable for both urban commuting and highway cruising. The motorcycle’s kerb weight is under 195 kg, contributing to its agile handling characteristics.

Built on a tubular steel frame, the Rebel 500 is equipped with telescopic front forks and twin rear Showa shock absorbers, ensuring a comfortable ride over varied terrains.

Braking duties are handled by a 296mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, complemented by dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. The motorcycle rides on 16-inch wheels, fitted with Dunlop tyres measuring 130/90 at the front and 150/80 at the rear.

The Rebel 500 enters a competitive segment, taking on rivals like the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, and the Kawasaki Eliminator 500.
While it is priced higher than the Royal Enfield offerings, the Rebel 500 justifies its premium with a refined parallel-twin engine, modern features, and Honda’s renowned build quality.
