2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 launched in India, New Features?

Kawasaki has officially launched the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 in India, introducing a new OBD 2B engine alongside fresh Lime Green color options.

The bike marks a starting price of Rs 7.27 lakh ex-showroom, which is an increase of Rs 11,000 compared to the previous generation Ninja 650.

This model is positioned to compete against offerings such as the Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Z650, Triumph Trident 660, and Aprilia RS 660.

2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650: Design

The 2025 Ninja 650 boasts a sporty and aggressive aesthetic, built on a trellis high-tensile steel chassis frame. It features several premium design elements, including an LED headlight, ORVMs at both the front and rear, an underbelly exhaust system, and aluminum swingarms.

The bike is also enhanced with aero-shaped rear side mirrors and a sportier windscreen that proudly displays the Kawasaki logo. Additional design features include a comprehensive LED lighting setup, halogen turn indicators, split-style sporty seats, 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels with tubeless tires, and an attractive tail section design topped off with LED taillights positioned high above the rear tires.

In terms of dimensions, the bike measures 2,115 mm in length, 740 mm in width, and 1,145 mm in height, with a wheelbase stretching 1.41 meters.

The overall weight stands at 196 kg with a fuel tank capacity of 15 liters.

2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650: Engine

Under the hood, the 2025 Ninja 650 is powered by an OBD-2B compliant 649cc twin-cylinder engine that produces a maximum output of 68 hp and peak torque of 64 Nm. This engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with Assist & Slipper Clutch, enhancing rideability and control.

Performance-wise, the bike features Dual Throttle Valve technology, promoting smoother engine responses. The top speed is clocked between 210 to 212 km/h, and the fuel efficiency ranges from 21 to 30 kilometers per liter. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in just 4.65 seconds.

2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650: Features

In terms of features, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 comes equipped with disc brakes on both tires, a 2-Mode KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control), and an Anti-lock Braking System for improved safety. The suspension is handled by a combination of a telescopic fork and a horizontal back-link swingarm.

Additionally, the Ninja 650 features an all-new digital TFT color instrumentation, a first for Kawasaki in the 650cc class. This high-tech display not only enhances the cockpit’s appearance but also introduces new functionalities that were not available in previous models.

The instrument cluster supports smartphone connectivity through the “RIDEOLOGY THE APP,” allowing access to various instrument functions directly from a connected device.
