Tata Motors has officially launched the 2025 Tata Altroz in India, bringing a fresh wave of updates to one of its most popular premium hatchbacks.
Known for its bold styling, solid build, and 5-star safety rating, the Altroz now comes with a more refined package to compete strongly in the hotly contested hatchback segment.

2025 Tata Altroz: Design
The 2025 Tata Altroz carries forward its sharp, angular design language but now looks even more modern and premium. The front fascia has been subtly updated with a sleeker grille, redesigned bumper, and new LED DRLs that seamlessly merge with the headlamps.
At the rear, the tailgate now houses connected LED taillamps for a wider visual stance, giving the hatchback a more premium appearance. New alloy wheel designs and dual-tone color schemes have also been introduced to add youthful appeal.
The dimensions of the Altroz remain largely unchanged, preserving its practical urban footprint. The Length of this car is around 3,990 mm, its Width is around 1,755 mm, 1,523 mm Height, Wheelbase of 2,501 mm, and Boot Space of 345 liters.
Its well-balanced proportions continue to offer a strong road presence while being easy to maneuver in city conditions.
2025 Tata Altroz: Powertrain
The 2025 Altroz retains its familiar powertrains but has seen subtle tweaks for better refinement and drivability:
It has 1.2L Petrol (NA), which generates maximum power of 86 PS and peak torque of 113 Nm. For transmission this engine has been mated with 5-speed MT or 6-speed DCA (Dual Clutch Automatic)
Second, this car will be equipped with 1.2L iTurbo Petrol. This engine generates maximum power of 110 PS and peak torque of 140 Nm. For transmission this engine has been mated with 5-speed MT.
Third this car also has option of 1.5L Diesel. This engine generates maximum power of 90 PS and peak torque of 200 Nm | 5-speed MT (available in select trims only)
Tata has focused on NVH improvements and smoother throttle response. The dual-clutch automatic variant, in particular, now feels more refined in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Claimed mileage ranges from 18.5 to 23 km/l, depending on the variant and powertrain.

Inside, the 2025 Altroz gets a major boost in cabin quality and features. The dual-tone interior theme now includes soft-touch materials on the dash and doors.
Updates include 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Wireless charger, Rear AC vents, Air purifier, Cruise control, Voice-activated sunroof (in select variants), and Premium JBL sound system (top trims)
The Altroz continues to score high on practicality with plenty of storage spaces, a flat rear floor, and excellent back seat comfort.
True to its legacy, the Altroz remains one of the safest hatchbacks in India. The 2025 Tata Altroz is priced competitively, starting at ₹6.80 lakh and going up to ₹10.74 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and engine-transmission combination.
It continues to rivals are Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza, and Honda Amaze (as a compact alternative in similar price bracket)
