Features which we are expecting from the 2026 Kia Seltos

Spy shots of the 2026 Kia Seltos revealed the Two unique front fascias under heavy camouflage suggest distinct identities—one sleeker and another bolder—potentially delineating ICE/hybrid and EV versions of the car.

Also, Different alloy wheel designs of the car further fuel speculation: aerodynamic wheels for the EV, and its conventional spoke wheels for ICE/hybrid models. We can also see a hidden front charging port (under camouflage) hints at genuine EV.

The new-gen Seltos follows Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy seen in global models like the EV9 and Syros—expect sharper vertical DRLs, a concave grille, and muscular bumper lines. Its EV EV versions could adopt distinct aerodynamic bumpers and closed-off wheel designs, enhancing efficiency and positioning the model uniquely.

EV Variant: We are expecting that the electric powertrain of this car will be similar to the Hyundai Creta Electric and upcoming Kia Carens Clavis EV. It will be equipped with 42 kWh or 51.4 kWh battery options, a 169 bhp motor, and an estimated 473 km range

Hybrid Option: Spy shots and industry insights suggest a hybrid Seltos with a 1.6 L petrol engine (similar to Kona Hybrid/Niro) paired with e-AWD, generating around 141 bhp and 265 Nm

ICE Line-up: Conventional powertrain lineup expected to include a 1.5 L NA petrol, 1.5 L turbo petrol, and 1.5 L diesel—carrying forward the current range, potentially enhanced for better fuel efficiency

Why This News Matters?

The 2026 Seltos lineup marks Kia’s biggest leap yet in India:

Choice & differentiation: Buyers may soon choose between petrol/diesel, hybrid, or full EV based on identical chassis but distinct visual themes.

Competitive advantage: A hybrid and EV sibling could help Kia rival entries from Maruti, Toyota, and Hyundai’s electric offerings.

The spy carousel suggests a global debut in late 2025 with launch across markets (including India) by early 2026. Kia India is expected to localize multiple versions—ICE, hybrid, and possibly EV—to meet growing emission standards and EV demand.
