Tesla has removed the rear-wheel drive (RWD) version of the Tesla Cybertruck from its online store. This model was earlier the most affordable option, priced at $69,990.
At present, customers can only choose the all-wheel drive (AWD) variant starting at $79,990 or the high-performance Cyberbeast that costs from $114,990.
Let us tell you that the Long Range version of the Cybertruck was introduced in April, but its price turned out to be $10,000 more than what Tesla had first announced.
On top of the higher cost, the company removed several features from the model, such as the power tonneau cover, adaptive suspension, rear touchscreen for passengers, light bar at the back, and outlets in the truck bed.
Because it used a single motor, the RWD version also had lower towing and payload capacity compared to the other trims.
Tesla’s decision to remove the Long Range Cybertruck from its website comes just as the federal tax credit for US electric vehicle buyers is about to end this month.
This further reduces the appeal of the model for potential customers. Adding to the concern, overall Cybertruck sales have dropped sharply.

Data from Cox Automotive shows that only 4,306 units were sold in the second quarter of 2023, marking a decline of more than 50 percent compared to the same period last year.

Features of the Tesla Cybertruck
The Tesla Cybertruck stands out with its futuristic angular design, made from ultra-hard stainless steel that not only gives it a unique look but also ensures exceptional durability.
Its large flat panels, sharp edges, and armored glass add to its bold, rugged appeal.
Inside, the cabin is minimal yet modern, featuring a massive central touchscreen, premium seating for up to six passengers, a spacious dashboard layout, and clever storage spaces.
The truck bed is versatile, offering lockable storage, outlets for powering tools, and adaptive air suspension that adjusts the ride height. Together, these features make the Cybertruck a mix of futuristic styling, electric performance, and everyday practicality.
The Tesla Cybertruck is powered by large battery packs that deliver impressive range, depending on the variant.
The single-motor model offers around 400 km, while the dual- and tri-motor versions go beyond 500 km on a single charge. Top speed ranges from 180 km/h to nearly 210 km/h.
