Maruti Suzuki has cut prices after the new GST 2.0 changes, making the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso India’s most affordable car, starting at just Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is now even cheaper than the Alto K10. This price advantage comes because the S-Presso has not received the recent safety upgrade that added 6 airbags to the Alto K10 and Celerio. Instead, it continues with 2 airbags.
With this move, Maruti isn’t just focusing on low pricing but also aiming to position the SUV-styled S-Presso as the most budget-friendly choice for first-time buyers in a tough entry-level car market.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is a compact hatchback with a bold SUV-inspired design, giving it a tall stance and a commanding road presence.
Its upright front fascia with a squared grille, high-mounted bonnet, and chunky bumpers enhance its sporty appeal. The boxy silhouette, flared wheel arches, and high ground clearance add to its rugged look, making it stand out among city cars.
In terms of dimensions, the S-Presso measures around 3,565mm in length, 1,520mm in width, and 1,567mm in height, with a 2,380mm wheelbase, offering a surprisingly spacious cabin for its size while ensuring easy maneuverability in urban traffic.
Powertrain of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces around 67 bhp and 90 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.
It also has a CNG option that delivers 56 bhp and 82 Nm. In terms of mileage, the petrol version returns about 21–25 kmpl depending on the variant, while the CNG model offers around 32.7 km/kg.
Key features include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, keyless entry, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat anchors for safety.

Cabin of Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
The cabin of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso feels surprisingly roomy and practical for its size. It features an all-black interior with sporty orange accents around the central console and AC vents, giving a youthful look.
The instrument cluster is mounted at the centre of the dashboard, above the touchscreen infotainment system, which helps reduce clutter.
Power window switches are placed centrally, and the steering wheel has audio controls. Seats are high set for a better road view; rear headroom and legroom are decent for average-height adults.
There’s useful storage: door bottle holders, a shelf over the glovebox, centre utility space, and a boot of around 240 litres.
