Bajaj, the two-wheeler company, is planning to launch its next-generation Bajaj Chetak in the Indian market. Recently, this electric scooter was spotted undergoing testing on Indian roads.
Reports indicate that the next-gen Bajaj Chetak is expected to be launched in the Indian market in the coming months, potentially as early as 2026.
The model that was spotted is fully covered in stickers, but we have some updated information about this upcoming electric scooter.
Let’s take a closer look at what we can expect from this new scooter.

Expected Features of the Next-Gen Bajaj Chetak
Regarding the design, the next-generation Bajaj Chetak will feature a circular LED headlamp equipped with daytime running lights (DRLs).
We also notice smaller LED lights next to the clutch and brake levers, which may serve as turn indicators. The LED taillights have been completely redesigned, complete with new LED turn indicators.
Reports suggest that the charging port for the scooter might be hidden or relocated to the front apron area. Additionally, the scooter will not include keyless go or a TFT display; instead, it will be equipped with a designer LCD cluster.
The next-gen Chetak features an innovative single-sided suspension setup for enhanced aesthetics. To provide better stability and comfort for riders, this upcoming electric scooter will come with telescopic front forks and a mono-shock unit at the rear.
The next-generation Bajaj Chetak is expected to feature a more powerful electric motor generating around 4.2 kW, paired with a larger battery capacity of 3.0 to 3.5 kWh. This upgrade could potentially offer a real-world range of up to 150 km on a single charge.
