Five years ago, TVS Motor acquired the struggling British brand Norton Motorcycles. Now, this brand is preparing to enter both the Indian and overseas markets.

Recently, Sudarshan Venu, Chairman and Managing Director of TVS Motor, announced that the company is gearing up to launch an all-new range of Norton Motorcycles in global markets, including Europe, the USA, Asia, and India.

India will be a key market for Norton Motorcycles, and the company plans to offer its complete lineup in this region.

Norton V4 could be the first Bike to make its way to India

Media reports indicate that the Norton V4 will be the first bike to enter the Indian market. The Norton V4 retains its aggressive superbike DNA while featuring several visual enhancements.

It has a completely redesigned fairing with sharper aerodynamic lines and new twin-pod LED headlamps integrated into a sleeker front cowl. Additionally, the bike incorporates carbon-fiber components throughout its body to improve performance and reduce weight.

A prominent underbelly exhaust system and an aggressive tail section contribute to its enhanced track presence. Overall, the design appears more production-ready and sharper than the earlier prototype, suggesting improved refinement and downforce.

The Norton V4 will feature a 1200cc liquid-cooled V4 engine, which is expected to produce around 200–210 bhp. It will likely be paired with a 6-speed gearbox, potentially including a quickshifter and slipper clutch as standard.

The bike is expected to reach a top speed of over 300 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h taking less than 3.5 seconds.

The Norton V4 is also anticipated to come equipped with advanced rider aids and electronic features, including a full TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, multiple riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, launch control, and wheelie control.
