MG Majestor to Be Unveiled in India in February 2026: What We Know So Far?

JSW MG Motor India has officially confirmed that its upcoming flagship SUV, the MG Majestor, will be revealed in February 2026. The new model will sit at the top of MG’s India lineup and is expected to replace the Gloster, directly taking on established rivals like the Toyota Fortuner in the full-size SUV segment.

The MG Majestor was previously showcased at Auto Expo 2025, and its official unveiling in February 2026 confirms MG’s long-term plans for the premium SUV space in India. Positioned above the Gloster, the Majestor will serve as MG’s most premium offering in the country.

MG Majestor: Strong SUV Design and Road Presence

The MG Majestor is based on MG’s global SUV architecture and carries a bold, upright design. It features a wide front grille, chunky bumper elements and a split LED lighting setup that gives it a commanding road presence. Large alloy wheels, muscular wheel arches and roof rails further enhance its rugged SUV character.

Inside, the Majestor is expected to focus heavily on comfort and technology. The cabin will likely feature a dual-screen layout with large digital displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. Premium features such as a panoramic camera system, wireless charging, electric tailgate and electronic parking brake are expected.

On the safety front, MG is likely to offer Level-2 ADAS, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring and automatic emergency braking, along with multiple airbags and electronic stability control.

MG Majestor: Diesel Engines with Automatic Gearbox

Powering the MG Majestor will most likely be familiar 2.0-litre diesel engines. Buyers can expect a standard single-turbo diesel for everyday use and a more powerful twin-turbo version for stronger performance. Both engines are expected to come with an 8-speed automatic transmission, while four-wheel drive could be offered on higher variants for better off-road capability.

Once launched, the MG Majestor will compete in the highly competitive full-size SUV category, where models like the Toyota Fortuner and other three-row SUVs dominate. With its focus on technology, safety and diesel performance, the Majestor is expected to offer buyers a strong alternative in the Rs 40-lakh-plus SUV segment.
