Toyota Sees 15% Sales Growth in January 2026

Toyota Kirloskar Motor started 2026 on a strong note by recording a 15 percent year-on-year growth in January sales. The company sold 33,880 vehicles during the month, compared to 29,371 units in January 2025.

Toyota’s key models such as the Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Legender, and Urban Cruiser Hyryder continued to see healthy demand. These vehicles remain popular due to their reliability, comfort, and strong resale value.

During the month, Toyota also introduced the Urban Cruiser Ebella, its first electric SUV for India, marking an important step towards electric mobility.

Strong Domestic Sales Support Growth

Toyota’s performance was mainly driven by the Indian market. The company sold 30,630 units in India, showing a 17 percent increase over last year. This growth highlights steady demand for Toyota’s SUVs and MPVs among Indian buyers.

Exports also remained stable. Toyota shipped 3,250 units overseas, slightly higher than 3,193 units exported in January last year.

Toyota said the positive start to the year reflects customer trust in the brand’s focus on quality, safety, and long-term value. The company believes its wide product range and growing focus on future technologies will help maintain momentum in the coming months.
