Nissan Gravite MPV India Debut Confirmed for February 17, 2026

Nissan is preparing to make a strong comeback in India with the upcoming Nissan Gravite MPV, scheduled to debut on February 17, 2026.

Aimed at the fast-growing affordable MPV segment, the Gravite is expected to cater to Indian families looking for a practical, spacious and value-for-money people mover.

Positioned below premium MPVs, the Gravite will focus on everyday usability, flexible seating and competitive pricing. It is likely to be based on the proven CMF-A+ platform, helping Nissan keep costs in check while ensuring reliability.

With this launch, Nissan plans to expand its limited Indian lineup and improve its reach in a segment dominated by budget-friendly seven-seaters.

Nissan Gravite MPV: Design and Dimensions

The Nissan Gravite is expected to feature a clean and modern MPV design, clearly differentiated from its platform sibling. It may get a bold front grille, swept-back headlamps, sculpted body panels and MPV-style proportions for maximum cabin space.

The overall design is likely to balance practicality with a slightly SUV-inspired stance. In terms of dimensions, the Gravite is expected to measure around 4 meters in length, ensuring easy city usability while offering a long wheelbase for better legroom.

High ground clearance and a tall roofline should further enhance comfort and accessibility.

Nissan Gravite MPV: Engine, Top Speed and Mileage

The Nissan Gravite is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, similar to other MPVs in this category.

This engine may produce around 70–75 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, with an AMT option possible later. The focus will be on smooth drivability and fuel efficiency rather than outright performance.

The Gravite could offer a top speed of around 150 kmph, suitable for highway cruising. In terms of efficiency, Nissan may target a mileage of 18–20 kmpl, making it economical for daily family use.

Nissan Gravite MPV: Cabin and Safety Features

Inside, the Nissan Gravite is expected to focus on space, comfort and functionality. The cabin may offer a three-row seating layout, with flexible seat folding to increase luggage space when required.

Features could include a touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, multiple USB charging points and rear AC vents.

On the safety front, Nissan is likely to offer dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera as standard. Higher variants may add features like electronic stability control and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Nissan Gravite MPV: Expected Price and Rivals

The Nissan Gravite is expected to be priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable MPVs in India.

It will rival the Renault Triber, Maruti Suzuki Eeco and upcoming budget MPVs, strengthening competition in the entry-level people mover segment.
