2027 Kawasaki KLX230 Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs 1.84 Lakh
Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Kawasaki KLX230 in India with a starting price of Rs 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 35,000 more expensive than the previous model.
The KLX230 continues to target riders looking for a lightweight dual-sport motorcycle that can handle both city roads and off-road trails.
With its rugged styling, long-travel suspension, and proven 233cc engine, the motorcycle remains one of the most accessible adventure-focused bikes in Kawasaki’s Indian lineup.
It also benefits from local manufacturing, helping keep costs competitive.

2027 Kawasaki KLX230: Design, Tyres And Off-Road Hardware
The 2027 Kawasaki KLX230 retains its purpose-built dual-sport design. It features a slim fuel tank, high-mounted front fender, compact LED headlamp, and a narrow seat that allows riders to move freely while tackling rough terrain.
The motorcycle rides on wire-spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres, with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel combination that enhances off-road capability.
Its lightweight construction, high ground clearance, and upright riding position make it well-suited for trails, gravel roads, and daily commuting alike.
Engine And Performance
Powering the KLX230 is a 233cc air-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motor produces around 19 PS of power and 19 Nm of peak torque.
Kawasaki has tuned the engine to deliver strong low- and mid-range performance, which is especially useful during trail riding and technical off-road sections.
The engine’s linear power delivery and smooth throttle response make the motorcycle beginner-friendly while still offering enough performance for experienced riders looking for a lightweight adventure machine.
Suspension And Braking Setup
The KLX230 is equipped with a telescopic front fork offering 220 mm of wheel travel, while the rear gets Kawasaki’s Uni-Trak monoshock setup with 223 mm of travel.
This long-travel suspension setup allows the motorcycle to absorb bumps, rocks, and uneven surfaces with ease. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, supported by ABS for improved safety.
Combined with its lightweight chassis and off-road-focused geometry, the suspension and braking package provides excellent control on both paved roads and challenging trails.
2027 Kawasaki KLX230: Price And Rivals In India
The 2027 Kawasaki KLX230 is priced at Rs 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it competes primarily with the Hero Xpulse 210 and other entry-level adventure motorcycles. Buyers looking for a lightweight off-road machine with Kawasaki’s brand value and proven dual-sport capabilities will find the KLX230 an attractive option.
