Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG Launched at Rs. 9.99 Lakh: Check Price, Mileage, Engine and Features
Mahindra has launched the Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG in India at a starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new CNG-powered compact SUV joins the existing petrol, diesel and electric versions of the XUV 3XO.
Mahindra has used its 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG system, while a twin-cylinder setup helps retain usable boot space. The XUV 3XO CNG claims a fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/kg and comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The launch expands the XUV 3XO’s powertrain portfolio to petrol, diesel, CNG and electric, giving Mahindra one of the widest fuel choices among compact SUVs in India.

What’s New in Design and Cabin?
There are no major exterior design changes on the CNG version. The SUV retains the same styling as the regular XUV 3XO, while a ‘ZNG’ badge on the tailgate identifies the CNG model. Depending on the variant, it gets 16-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, DRLs and connected LED tail-lamps.
Mahindra officially calls the new model the XUV 3XO ZNG, making it the company’s first mainstream CNG passenger vehicle in its current line-up.
The CNG version retains the overall interior design and equipment layout of the standard XUV 3XO. Depending on the variant, the SUV gets features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Dolby Atmos and a panoramic sunroof.
Mahindra also offers rear AC vents, cruise control and a 60:40 split rear seat. The entry variant gets a 26.03cm HD touchscreen, cruise control and rear AC vents as standard, according to Mahindra.

Twin-Cylinder CNG Setup
The XUV 3XO CNG uses Mahindra’s 1.2-litre MPFI turbo-petrol engine paired with the factory-fitted CNG system. The engine produces 111hp and 200Nm in both petrol and CNG modes. Mahindra has optimised the turbocharger calibration and ECU mapping to maintain the same peak output on both fuels.
The CNG version comes exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra claims a fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/kg. The system can also automatically switch to petrol when the CNG supply runs low.
The 200Nm torque figure also gives the XUV 3XO CNG a notable position among CNG-powered passenger vehicles. Mahindra says the SUV can accelerate from 0-60kph in 4.9 seconds in CNG mode.
One of the biggest changes to the XUV 3XO comes underneath the body. Mahindra has used a twin-cylinder CNG tank layout to reduce the impact on boot space.
The XUV 3XO CNG offers 270 litres of boot capacity, while the spare wheel sits underneath the vehicle. This packaging allows the SUV to retain a practical boot despite the addition of the CNG system.
Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG Safety Features
Safety remains a key part of the XUV 3XO CNG package. The SUV gets six airbags, electronic stability control and ISOFIX child-seat mounts as standard. Mahindra has also incorporated dedicated safety measures for the CNG system. The XUV 3XO has also earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating in its standard range.
