Nissan has officially unveiled the sixth-generation 2025 Nissan Micra EV, marking a significant shift as the model transitions into a fully electric vehicle (EV).

Built on the AmpR Small platform, shared with the Renault 5 EV, the new Micra is designed to offer urban-friendly dimensions, advanced technology, and efficient electric performance.

2025 Nissan Micra EV: Design

The new Micra EV showcases a modern and distinctive design, drawing inspiration from the Nissan 20-23 EV concept. Key design elements include circular daytime running lights encircling rectangular headlights, gloss-black body cladding, a blacked-out roof, and segmented circular LED tail-lamps. The hatchback also features silver inserts on the front bumper and upper window line, 18-inch alloy wheels, and column-mounted rear door handles.

In terms of size, the Micra EV measures 3,780 mm in length and 1,675 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,440 mm. These compact dimensions make it well-suited for urban environments.

2025 Nissan Micra EV: Powertrain

The 2025 Micra EV is available with two battery options:

  • 40kWh Battery Pack: Delivers 122 hp and 225 Nm of torque, offering a WLTP-tested range of up to 308 km.

  • 52kWh Battery Pack: Produces 150 hp and 245 Nm of torque, extending the range to approximately 408 km.

The larger battery variant supports 100kW DC fast charging, enabling a 15% to 80% charge in about 30 minutes. Both versions feature vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, a heat pump, and battery temperature control systems to enhance efficiency and adaptability.

2025 Nissan Micra EV: Cabin

Inside, the Micra EV offers a dual-tone cabin equipped with two 10.1-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation. The center console is angled towards the driver, featuring physical controls below the air vents. Additional interior highlights include:

  • Electronic parking brake. 

  • Wireless charging pad. 

  • 48-color ambient lighting. 

  • Unique upholstery with a molded silhouette of Mount Fuji in the storage space between the seats. 

The Micra EV offers a boot space of 326 liters, providing practical storage for daily use. While specific safety features have not been detailed, the Micra EV is expected to include a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), such as lane assist, automatic emergency braking, and traction control. The vehicle’s design and technology aim to provide a secure and connected driving experience.

2025 Nissan Micra EV: Price and Availability

The 2025 Nissan Micra EV is slated for launch in European markets by late 2025. We are expecting that company may launch this car at the starting price of Rs 15 lakh ex-showroom. 

Subsequent rollouts are expected in regions like Saudi Arabia and other key global markets by the end of the year.

However, Nissan has not confirmed plans to introduce the Micra EV in India. Instead, the company’s focus in the Indian market includes launching a Renault Triber-based MPV and a Hyundai Creta SUV rival in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
