Tata Motors has officially launched the much-anticipated Harrier EV in India, pricing it at an introductory ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

This all-electric SUV marks Tata’s return to the all-wheel-drive segment and stands as the flagship model in its electric vehicle lineup. Bookings are set to commence on July 2, 2025.

Design of Tata Harrier EV

The Tata Harrier EV maintains the bold and muscular design of its ICE counterpart while introducing distinct electric touches. It features a sleek closed-off grille, vertical slatted bumpers, and aerodynamic alloy wheels that enhance efficiency and style.

The SUV’s dimensions remain spacious, offering ample cabin room and a commanding road presence. Inside, the Harrier EV boasts premium materials, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof that adds to the airy feel.

The blend of rugged exterior design with modern, refined elements makes it both practical for off-roading and comfortable for daily driving.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Harrier EV boasts a world-first Samsung Neo QLED infotainment display, complemented by a digital driver’s cluster, illuminated Tata logo on the steering wheel, touch-based HVAC controls, and a rotary drive mode selector. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, powered front seats, and a spacious 502-liter boot.

Technological advancements encompass a 10-speaker JBL audio system with Dolby Atmos 5.1, vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) capabilities, over-the-air (OTA) updates, connected car technology, auto park assist, and a 540-degree surround camera system.

Performance and Range

Built on Tata’s evolved Acti.ev platform, the Harrier EV offers two battery options: a 65kWh pack powering a single rear motor producing 291hp, and a 75kWh LFP battery with dual motors delivering a combined 291hp and 504Nm of torque. The 75kWh variant claims a range of up to 627km (MIDC), with real-world figures between 480-505km. 

Charging is efficient, with a 7.2kW AC charger achieving a full charge in approximately 10.7 hours, and a 120kW DC fast charger replenishing 20-80% in just 25 minutes.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Safety features are comprehensive, including Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, seven airbags, ABS with EBD, and an all-digital inside rear-view mirror. The Harrier EV also introduces an auto park assist feature, enhancing convenience and safety.
