Ford Suspected defect in February 2025

Ford began investigating a suspected defect in February 2025 after receiving an alert from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The NHTSA had gathered several Vehicle Owner Questionnaires (VOQs) reporting camera malfunctions in various Ford models from different production years.

In response to these reports, Ford conducted an extensive review of supplier records, warranty claims, and customer complaints as part of its investigation. Although Ford did not identify any safety-related defects in vehicles using this analog camera system, the company opted to recall the affected models.
