Hero MotoCorp has officially discontinued the base variant of its Hero Karizma XMR 210 in India.

Let us tell you that the price of teh base version of the Karizma is Rs 1.73 lakh ex-showroom at the time of its launch in August 2023.

This variant offers telescopic front forks and an older LCD display has been removed from the lineup, now only the Top and Combat Edition trims available.

The Top variant, now featuring inverted forks and a 4.2″ TFT display, is priced at Rs 1,99,750 (ex‑showroom Delhi), and Combat Edition, carrying similar premium features with cosmetic upgrades, commands Rs 2,01,500 (ex‑showroom Delhi).

Why Base Variant of Hero Karizma XMR 210 Discountinued?

As per the media report the sales performance of this bike led to this move. monthly dispatches fell sharply from over 1,800 units in March 2024 to just zero units sold in December 2024, January 2025, and February 2025, indicating the base variant’s demand collapse.

The fading demand, coupled with Hero’s strategic pivot toward the upcoming Karizma XMR 250, suggests the base variant’s phase‑out was inevitable.

So, If you were considering the entry-level Karizma XMR, your only options now are the higher-end Top and Combat Edition models, both priced well above Rs 1.99 lakh ex‑showroom and offering upgraded hardware. The Rs 1.73 lakh option is no longer available.

Hero appears fully focused on its premium repositioning path, and with the XMR 250 set to arrive, expect the 210cc variant to recede further in importance and availability.
