Japanese car manufacturer Honda is a prominent player in the Indian automobile market. In 2023, the company introduced its new SUV, the Honda Elevate.
Recently, Japan NCAP conducted a crash test on this SUV, and it impressively achieved a 5-star safety rating.
This “Made in India” SUV is also exported to Japan, where it is known as the Honda WR-V. In this article, we will discuss the safety rating and features of the Honda Elevate.
Safety Rating Of Honda Elevate
According to the official Japan NCAP Crash Test website, the SUV scored an impressive 90 percent across various criteria, achieving a total score of 176.23 out of 193.8, which earned it a 5-star safety rating.

In terms of preventive safety, the Honda Elevate scored 82.22 out of 85.8, resulting in a 95 percent rating. For collision safety, the Honda Elevate achieved an 86 percent score by securing 86.01 out of 100 points. It also excelled in the Automatic Emergency Call System (AEB), receiving a perfect score of 8 out of 8. In the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) category, the Elevate scored 5 out of 5.
When it comes to crash protection, the SUV received 5 out of 5 for both frontal and side crash protection, while it achieved a 4 out of 5 rating for rear impact neck protection. For pedestrian safety, it scored 4 out of 5 for head protection and a perfect 5 out of 5 for leg protection.
Features of Honda Elevate
Honda Elevate features LED headlamps, DRLs, and 17-inch alloy wheels, enhancing its road presence. The Elevate is available in multiple variants, including the Signature Black Edition, which boasts exclusive black styling element. This is a stylish and feature-rich compact SUV designed for urban and highway driving. This SUV has a boot space of 458 liters and a ground clearance of 220 mm, the Elevate combines practicality with comfort.
Engine
Also, This car is powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine. This engine generates maximum power of 119 bhp and a peak torque of 145Nm. For transmission this engine has been mated with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
Cabin
The Elevate offers a spacious cabin with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, and a single-pane sunroof . Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability assist, hill-start assist, and Honda Sensing ADAS suite, which encompasses adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and collision mitigation braking system.
Price
As of April 2025, the pricing for the Honda Elevate starts from Rs 11.91 lakh for the Base Variant (SV Petrol Manual) and goes up to Rs 15.71 lakh for the top variant (all price ex-showroom). The Honda WR-V, marketed as the Elevate in India, is available in Japan through import dealers. Prices for the 2025 model range from approximately $14,640 to $17,160 FOB (Free On Board), depending on the variant and specifications.
