Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch its all-new 2025 Mercedes GLC EV, and as per reports, the company will officially unveil this electric SUV on 7th September at the Munich Motor Show.
The company has now released a teaser image on social media, hinting at a new sporty grille design featuring 942 backlit LED pixels — a design element expected to be used across all upcoming Mercedes models.
The GLC EV is also expected to come equipped with high-tech features, a powerful electric powertrain, and an aggressive design language.

The upcoming Mercedes GLC Electric will sport a futuristic design, highlighted by a striking illuminated grille. It features a wide chrome outline, a smoked glass lattice structure, and most importantly, 942 animated LED dots, making it a true example of next-gen design.
In addition, the EV will come equipped with a muscular bonnet, a closed-off front grille, 21-inch alloy wheels, and a charging port positioned just ahead of the right-side mirror. It will also include a blackout grille, flush door handles, and a full LED lighting setup with signature DRLs.
While Mercedes-Benz hasn’t officially revealed the dimensions yet, the electric GLC is expected to be similar in size to the current GLC, with minor tweaks to suit its EV-specific platform.
With this model, Mercedes-Benz is redefining its design language for the EV era. The bold new grille could set a fresh design trend across the electric segment. Moving away from the overly minimalistic EQ styling that failed to resonate with many enthusiasts, Mercedes is now embracing a more expressive and identity-driven aesthetic.

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC EV is set to pack some serious performance under its elegant exterior. It’s expected to feature the high-efficiency eATS 2.0 electric drivetrain, previously seen in the Vision EQXX concept.
It will be powered by a 94.5kWh NMC battery, it’ll run on an 800-volt platform, which means ultra-fast DC charging of about 320kW is on the table.
Mercedes will likely offer both rear-wheel-drive and 4MATIC all-wheel-drive variants, with the AWD option featuring dual motors and a two-speed gearbox for better range and punch.
Depending on the final setup and driving conditions, you can expect a range of around 640 km, making it one of the more practical luxury EVs out there.

The inside of the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC EV is designed to feel futuristic and premium. It features a large, single glass touchscreen called the MBUX Hyperscreen, which combines your speedometer, entertainment system, and climate controls into one neat display.
The cabin uses high-quality leather, has colorful ambient lighting with 64 shades, and even offers fingerprint login to personalize your settings. Running on Mercedes’ smart new system MB.OS, it can update itself online and learn your preferences.

Expected Price and Availability
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC EV is expected to debut globally on September 7, 2025, with prices likely starting around Rs 85–90 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. GLC EV rivals include BMW iX3, Audi Q6 e-tron, Porsche Macan EV, Tesla Model Y, and Volvo XC40 Recharge. Each competes in tech, luxury, driving dynamics, and electrification strategy.
