2025 Suzuki GSX‑8R India Launch

2025 Suzuki GSX‑8R India Launch: Priced at ₹9.25 Lakh

Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced the 2025 Suzuki GSX‑8R in the Indian market, priced at ₹9.25 lakh (ex-showroom). This middleweight fully-faired sports tourer retains its previous styling and equipment but now aligns with the latest OBD‑2B emission norms—without any additional cost to customers.

The 2025 Suzuki GSX‑8R continues to deliver a compelling blend of mid-range power, refined handling, and modern electronics, all wrapped in a confident sports touring package. Positioned at ₹9.25 lakh, it appeals to riders seeking character and everyday usability, rivaling bikes like the Triumph Daytona 660, Kawasaki Ninja 650, and Aprilia RS 660. With no price change despite the OBD‑2B update, Suzuki stakes a strong claim in the mid-weight supersport segment.

The cast alloy 17-inch wheels wrapped in Dunlop RoadSport 2 tyres complete the sporty aesthetics. It will be offered in three factory paint options: Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Sword Silver, and Metallic Matte Black.

Weighing in at 205 kg (kerb weight) and packing a 14-litre fuel tank, the GSX‑8R balances sporty handling with rider comfort—making it suitable for city rides, weekend dashes, or long highway touring.

Powering the 2025 Suzuki GSX‑8R is a smooth yet punchy 776 cc parallel-twin engine, tuned to deliver 82 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm of torque at 6,800 rpm. The engine’s 270° crank configuration, combined with Suzuki’s balancer shaft, ensures minimal vibration. This mill comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox equipped with an assist-and-slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter for seamless upshifts and downshifts.

The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) enhances riding confidence by offering three ride modes, four-step traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, low-RPM assist, and dual-channel ABS. The packaging is backed by quality suspension: Showa separate-function USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear. Braking setup includes twin 310 mm front discs with four-piston calipers and a single 240 mm disc at the rear.
