Hyundai Motor Company has launched the all-new 2026 Hyundai Verna in the Indian market, featuring significant updates. The updated model is priced starting at Rs 10.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
With over 25 enhancements in design, technology, safety, and comfort, the sedan aims to strengthen its position in the highly competitive mid-size car segment.
Hyundai has designed this model to appeal to younger customers, and in India, it will compete with rivals such as the Volkswagen Virtus and Honda City.

The 2026 Hyundai Verna has received several updates that accentuate its modern design. Notably, it features a black chrome radiator grille, dual LED projector headlamps, and redesigned bumpers that contribute to a sharper, more refined look.
The inclusion of R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels enhances its premium aesthetic. In terms of dimensions, the Verna measures 4,565 mm in length and 1,765 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm that ensures a spacious interior.
Recognized as one of the widest sedans in its segment, the Verna provides generous interior space and improved passenger comfort.
Hyundai has made significant strides in enhancing the Verna’s interior, making it both luxurious and practical. The cabin features a D-cut steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, and seats with electric adjustments. The driver’s seat offers 8-way adjustment along with a memory function, while the front passenger seat provides 4-way adjustment.
Among its standout elements are segment-first features like a rear window sunshade, a walk-in device for the passenger seat, and a smart trunk with a capacity of 528 litres.
Additionally, the dashboard incorporates two integrated 10.25-inch screens that serve the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, complemented by Hyundai’s Bluelink technology, which includes over 70 connected features and more than 350 voice commands.
Other premium elements like ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and wireless charging further enhance the cabin experience of this sedan.

Hyundai Verna stands out in its segment with a large dual-screen setup that enhances the overall tech experience. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while features like an electric sunroof and a Bose 8-speaker premium sound system further boost its appeal.
Hyundai has also added switchable controls for both the infotainment system and climate settings, making the interface more user-friendly.
In addition, the sedan comes with advanced driver assistance features such as a surround view monitor and a blind spot view monitor, improving convenience and safety for the driver.

2026 Hyundai Verna: Powertrain
2026 Hyundai Verna offers buyers a choice between two petrol engines. The 1.5-litre MPi engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an IVT automatic.
For those seeking more power, the 1.5-litre Turbo GDi engine delivers an impressive 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque, and it’s available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Safety features in the 2026 Hyundai Verna have been significantly enhanced, incorporating Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS, which provides an impressive array of 20 features.
It includes seven airbags, featuring a center airbag, and introduces segment-first innovations such as an integrated dashcam.
