Car company Mazda has officially teased its third-generation 2026 Mazda CX-5 in the global market. This car will be available in more sleeker look, more refined design while retaining the core identity that made it a global bestseller.
Company will fully revealed this model on July 10, will promise evolutionary styling, improved utility, and a tech-forward cabin with hybrid powertrain.

2026 Mazda CX-5: Design
The teaser images of the upcoming Mazda CX-5 reveal a smoother, more sculpted exterior design which has been borrowed from the larger CX-90.
Its key features include slimmer LED headlights with stacked hockey-stick-shaped elements, wide-mouthed grille that retains Mazda’s signature elegance, hook-shaped LED taillights that curve across the rear, and adding a premium touch.
Its also has a silhouette that feels familiar but more aerodynamic and modern. In terms of design the Mazda CX-5 appears to be more refining, and sticking with a sporty design language.
The official dimension of this car is yet to be revealed but we are expecting that this car will have larger wheelbase which provide maximum space in the cabin. Its cargo capacity will be very much similar to its Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.
Powertrain of 2026 Mazda CX-5
As per the reports, Mazda has confirmed that a hybrid powertrain will join the CX-5 lineup in 2027, developed entirely in-house.
This model will be equipped with 2.5-liter inline four engine available in naturally aspirated and turbocharged version. Top speed and performance of the car is still unknow and may be annouce during its time of launch.

Mazda promises a more spacious and premium cabin with Human-centric technology for intuitive controls and connectivity, upgraded infotainment system, including a larger touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
It also has enhanced material quality and ergonomic improvements. The goal is to elevate the CX-5’s interior to near-luxury standards while maintaining its driver-focused ethos.
Mazda is aiming for class-leading safety, which could include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring, 360-degree camera, rear cross-traffic alert, and traffic sign recognition
It also has a improved crash structure and pedestrian protection. These upgrades will help the CX-5 remain competitive in a segment where safety is a key differentiator.
Expected Pricing and Launch Timeline
Pricing of upcoming Mazda CX-5 hasn’t been officially announced, but we are expecting that company will launch this car around $28,000–$30,000 (USD) for the base variant, which is Rs 30–35 lakh (ex-showroom India) if launched in the Indian market.
The global reveal is scheduled for July 10, 2025, with deliveries likely to begin in early 2026.
