2027 Kawasaki Z900 Launched at Rs. 9.99 Lakh: 5 Things You Should Know
The 2027 Kawasaki Z900 has arrived in India with fresh colour options and an unchanged price of Rs. 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Kawasaki has kept the motorcycle mechanically unchanged for the latest model year.
The update follows the major redesign that the Z900 received in 2025, which introduced sharper styling and a more advanced electronics package.
The new model continues to target riders looking for a powerful streetfighter with a four-cylinder engine. Its key highlights include a 948cc engine, a 5-inch TFT display, electronic riding aids and adjustable suspension. Deliveries of the updated motorcycle began in October 2026.

2027 Kawasaki Z900: What’s New in Design?
The biggest change to the 2027 Kawasaki Z900 comes from its new colour options. Buyers can now choose Pearl Blizzard White with Plasma Lime Green accents or Ebony with Metallic Carbon Gray and Metallic Spark Black elements.
These shades replace the previous model’s green-and-grey and black-and-gold combinations. The motorcycle retains its muscular fuel tank, compact front end and aggressive Sugomi styling.
It also continues with the sharp LED headlamp setup, sculpted side panels, exposed frame elements and distinctive LED tail lamp. Kawasaki has not introduced major bodywork changes for 2027, so the overall appearance remains familiar to existing Z900 fans.
2027 Kawasaki Z900: What’s New in Powertrain?
Kawasaki has retained the 948cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four-cylinder engine for the 2027 Z900. The motor produces around 124hp at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm of torque at 7,700rpm. A six-speed gearbox transfers power to the rear wheel, while an assist-and-slipper clutch helps reduce lever effort and rear-wheel hopping during aggressive downshifts.
The motorcycle also retains its electronic throttle valves, selectable power modes and three-mode traction control. Riders can select different riding settings according to road conditions and their preferences. The latest model does not introduce a new engine or gearbox, so performance remains largely unchanged from the previous version.
2027 Kawasaki Z900: Suspension and Braking
The 2027 Kawasaki Z900 continues with a 41mm inverted front fork and a horizontal back-link rear monoshock. Both suspension units offer rebound damping and spring preload adjustment, while wheel travel measures 120mm at the front and 140mm at the rear.
The motorcycle uses dual front disc brakes with radial-mounted, four-piston calipers and a single rear disc. ABS helps control braking, while the inertial measurement unit supports cornering-sensitive electronic assistance.
Kawasaki also retains traction control and cornering management technology. These components remain unchanged for the new model year, and the motorcycle continues to use 17-inch wheels.

2027 Kawasaki Z900: Price and Rivals
Kawasaki has priced the 2027 Z900 at Rs. 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, with no increase over the outgoing model. Its main rivals include the Triumph Street Triple range and other premium performance naked motorcycles.
The Z900’s key highlights remain its inline-four engine, electronic riding aids and muscular streetfighter styling.
