2027 Triumph Thruxton 400 Spotted With New TFT Display: 5 Things to Know
The upcoming 2027 Triumph Thruxton 400 has been spotted testing with a new circular colour TFT display borrowed from the recently launched Bonneville T40.
The test bike also features revised switchgear, suggesting that Triumph could add more electronic features to its cafe racer. The current Thruxton 400 gets traction control and dual-channel ABS, but the updated motorcycle could gain riding modes and cruise control.
Triumph has not officially confirmed these changes or revealed a launch date. The test mule appears to use export-spec components, so the final India-spec motorcycle could receive a different equipment package.

Triumph Thruxton 400 Design and New TFT Display
The overall design of the Triumph Thruxton 400 appears unchanged in the latest test mule. It continues with its cafe-racer styling, semi-fairing, clip-on handlebars, rear-set footpegs and split-seat layout. The major visible update comes inside the cockpit.
The test bike uses a circular colour TFT display similar to the unit introduced on the Bonneville T40. The new screen could bring smartphone connectivity, navigation information, music controls and call or message alerts.
The switchgear also looks different, with a multi-directional control pad on the left side and buttons that appear to control cruise control. Triumph could also introduce a new screen layout while retaining the bike’s retro character.
Triumph Thruxton 400 Powertrain
The updated Triumph Thruxton 400 is expected to retain its existing 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The motor produces around 40hp and 32Nm and works with a six-speed gearbox.
The latest test bike does not show any major mechanical changes, suggesting that Triumph will focus on technology rather than performance for this update. The engine already uses a ride-by-wire throttle and a slip-and-assist clutch. The motorcycle could therefore continue with similar performance figures after the update.
Triumph has not confirmed the final engine specifications yet. The company is also yet to announce whether the new electronics will become standard across the Thruxton 400 range.
Triumph Thruxton 400 Features and Safety
The biggest expected upgrade could come in the electronics package. The new TFT display and switchgear indicate that Triumph could add multiple riding modes and cruise control.
The motorcycle may also receive lean-sensitive cornering ABS and traction control if Triumph carries over the electronic package from the Bonneville T40. Other possible additions include self-cancelling indicators and panic-brake alerts.
However, these features remain unconfirmed. The current Thruxton 400 uses switchable traction control and non-switchable dual-channel ABS. The test bike also appears mechanically similar to the current motorcycle, with USD front forks, a rear monoshock, disc brakes and all-LED lighting.

Triumph Thruxton 400 Expected Price and Rivals
The current Triumph Thruxton 400 costs around Rs. 2.77 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The updated version could command a higher price if Triumph adds the TFT display and new electronics. It will continue to compete with motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650.
