Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV), part of India’s biggest carmakers, has made a comeback in the South African passenger car market.
The launch event at The Galleria in Sandton, Johannesburg introduced four new models Harrier, Curvv, Punch, and Tiago.
Each of these cars is built to meet the needs of today’s South African customers, offering a mix of modern design, strong safety, and advanced technology.
Tata Motors aims to make a strong impact in South Africa. The company is not just selling cars but also focusing on long-term growth, customer trust, and contribution to the local economy.
Tata Motors Partnership with Motus Holdings
For its re-entry, Tata Motors has teamed up with Motus Holdings, South Africa’s leading automotive group. This partnership brings together Tata’s expertise in engineering and safety with Motus’ strong network in sales, service, and aftersales support.
In India, Tata Motors has grown rapidly over the last five years going from 1.7 lakh cars in 2020 to more than 5.6 lakh in 2025. This growth shows how the brand is winning customer trust and expanding its presence.
