Volkswagen is gearing up to introduce second generation Volkswagen T-Roc. This model will be now equipped with a full-hybrid powertrain, marking an electrifying shift in VW’s strategy.
Combining the agility of a city-friendly SUV with the efficiency of electrified driving, the all-new T-Roc is poised for its global debut at Munich Motor Show in late 2025.

Volkswagen T-Roc: Design & Exterior
The silhouette retains the T-Roc’s recognizable form but boasts sharper, more sophisticated lines that echo the Tiguan.
Expect a shortened hood, slimmer upper grille flanked by a massive lower intake, thinner LED headlights, and coupe-inspired C-pillars. Full-width light bars connect the front and rear lighting clusters, lending a modern, unified visage.
Built on VW’s latest MQB Evo platform, shared with upgrades like the Golf Mk8.5, the new T-Roc grows in substance.
In terms of dimension this model 4,234 mm in length, 1,819 mm in width, 1,573 mm in height, and 2,590 mm of wheelbase.
Volkswagen T-Roc: Hybrid Powertrain & Performance
This generation introduces VW’s first full-hybrid system, a Toyota-style setup integrating a 1.5-L turbocharged petrol engine, electric motor, and battery for seamless driving via gas, electric, or both.
This powertrain will generate maximum power of 201 bhp to 268 bhp, with a peak torque between 350 Nm and 400 Nm.
Cabin & Technology
The hybrid system is not just eco-aware it’s performance-minded. The integration of combustion and electric drive offers swift torque response and refined efficiency, with pure-electric drive available for short bursts.
Complementing this is a more advanced chassis with improved control dynamics, promising a composed, sporty ride.
Inside, the cabin steps into the next era—expect premium materials, a minimalist dashboard, ambient lighting, and updated trim.
Tech highlights include a large standalone infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, possibly a head-up display, and advanced connectivity features.
Price & Availability
The T-Roc hybrid is expected to make its appearance at the Munich Motor Show in late 2025. European prices are estimated to begin at ~€35,000 (≈USD 38,400) for the PHEV variant, with global availability following—especially in markets like South America and China where hybrid demand is surging.
