Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the all-new 2025 Mercedes GLC EV at the Munich Motor Show in Germany. This electric SUV is an updated version of the EQE model.
Production of the GLC EV will begin in 2026, with deliveries set to start in international markets next year. The GLC EV is equipped with a powerful electric powertrain, offering an impressive range of approximately 713 km on a single charge.

2025 Mercedes GLC EV: Design
The Mercedes-Benz GLC EV continues the brand’s tradition of elegant and premium design while incorporating modern electric styling elements.
It features a bold closed grille complemented by sleek LED headlamps, aerodynamic bumpers, and a coupe-like roofline that enhances its sporty character. Strong character lines, flush door handles, and stylish alloy wheels contribute to its sophisticated appearance.
At the rear, slim LED tail lamps connected by a light bar give the GLC EV a futuristic aesthetic. The vehicle’s dimensions provide a balanced stance and ample road presence, ensuring an ideal blend of luxury, aerodynamics, and practicality.
Powertrain of the Mercedes-Benz GLC EV
The Mercedes-Benz GLC EV is built on the advanced MB.EA platform, which is compatible with 800V architecture, ensuring exceptional efficiency and performance. It will be offered globally in two versions: the rear-wheel-drive model and the all-wheel-drive 4Matic variant.
The rear-wheel-drive model features a single motor producing 374 hp, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version delivers an impressive 489 hp, reaching a top speed of 210 km/h.
Both variants are equipped with a 94 kWh NMC battery that supports ultra-fast DC charging of up to 330 kW. Charging from 10% to 80% takes just 24 minutes, and the all-wheel-drive model offers a WLTP range of up to 713 km.

Cabin Features
The cabin of the Mercedes-Benz GLC EV showcases the brand’s luxury DNA with a modern electric touch. It features a spacious and premium interior, adorned with high-quality leather upholstery, soft-touch materials, and customizable ambient lighting.
At the center, there is a large vertically oriented MBUX infotainment screen paired with a fully digital driver display, creating a futuristic cockpit experience. The SUV also includes an advanced head-up display, wireless smartphone connectivity, and AI-powered voice commands.
Comfort is enhanced with ventilated and heated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and multi-zone climate control, while safety is prioritized through advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including lane assist and adaptive cruise control.

Price and Availability
The Mercedes-Benz GLC EV is set to launch in India by late 2025, with an expected price range of Rs 60–70 lakh (ex-showroom). Globally, it will be introduced as a 2027 model, with a price tag of around $60,000–$72,000 in the U.S.
This luxury electric SUV boasts advanced features, a long driving range, and a premium cabin appeal. In the Indian market, it will compete with rivals such as the BMW iX3, Audi Q4 e-tron, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and Jaguar I-Pace, further enhancing the luxury EV segment.
