Maruti to launch Six SUVs in the Indian Market

Maruti Suzuki is set to enhance its portfolio by launching six new SUVs in the Indian market. Reports indicate that the company is developing powerful SUVs, as well as hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs), to provide customers with more options.

These vehicles are scheduled to launch in the coming months, marking a significant boost for the Indian automotive market. As the largest car maker in India, Maruti’s introduction of new SUVs will not only benefit customers but also increase the company’s sales in the country.

Maruti has already unveiled its Maruti Victoris in the Indian market but its price has not been disclosed yet and as per the reports, company will announce its price in the upcoming months.

Victoris has bold styling and modern details. Up front, it sports a wide chrome-accented grille, flanked by sleek LED projector headlamps neatly placed below slim pixel-inspired DRLs, giving the SUV a sharp and futuristic identity.

It comes with multiple engine choices to suit different driving preferences. Customer can choose options from 1.5-liter petrol engine, and 1.5-liter strong hybrid petrol unit. Cabin of the Victoris feels premium and modern right from the first glance. The dual-tone dashboard with soft-touch materials creates an airy and clean look.

Expected price of this SUV will be around Rs 10-12 lakh ex-showroom.

Maruti Suzuki is also planning to launch its 7-seater Grand Vitara in the Indian market and as per the information this model will be introduced in the Indian market in the festival season or around this Diwali.

It will be built on the company’s Global C platform. The company plans to increase its dimensions to accommodate an extra row of seating with decent legroom in the SUV.

Like the current generation model, the new Grand Vitara will offer two engine options. The first will be a 1.5-liter K15C mild-hybrid petrol engine and second option will be a 1.5-liter strong-hybrid petrol engine.

Grand Vitara 7-seater will come equipped with features such as automatic climate control, ventilated seats, steering-mounted controls, and a large sunroof. The vehicle will likely offer a semi-digital driver display and a fully digital information system, with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. We also anticipate a Head-Up Display in the upcoming model.

Company may launch this SUV at the starting price of Rs 12-14 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market.

Maruti Suzuki has recently commenced the production of its Maruti e-Vitara. Company will soon introduce its price in the Indian market. Maruti e-Vitara features a bold and futuristic design, distinguishing it as the brand’s first all-electric SUV.

At the front, it boasts sleek LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs), giving it a sharp and modern appearance. The sculpted bonnet contributes to a muscular stance, while the closed-off grille, adorned with subtle chrome and blue accents, emphasizes its electric vehicle identity.

Maruti e-Vitara is expected to be equipped with a high-capacity battery pack paired with a refined electric motor, delivering both smooth and powerful performance. Reports indicate that the SUV could offer a driving range of nearly 500 kilometers on a single charge.

This SUV will come equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with connected car technology for enhanced convenience. The expected price of this SUV will be around Rs 17 lakh to Rs 22.5 lakh ex-showroom.

Maruti Suzuki Escudo SUV

Maruti will launch launch its new Escudo SUV in the Indian market in the upcoming months. It will be built on the Global-C platform, shared with the Grand Vitara, ensuring a robust structure and spacious layout.

It features a bold SUV stance with split LED headlamps, connected LED DRLs, and a wide trapezoidal grille. At the rear, full-width LED tail lamps and a sculpted bumper add to its modern appeal.

It is expected to feature a 1.5L K15C petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech, producing around 103 PS and 138 Nm, paired with 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions.

Maruti Suzuki is also planning to launch its ‘Hybrid’ version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx in the Indian market soon. Apart from the new hybrid engine rest of the features of the SUV will remain similar to its current generation model.

Company may introduce 1.2-liters strong hybrid engine with the upcoming Fronx. Currently, this model has been available in 1.2-liters NA Petrol and 1.0-liters three cylinder Turbo Petrol unit. Company will also introduce this SUV with ADAS technology.

It features a high-set nose, aggressive grille with chrome accents, and LED DRLs integrated into the sharp headlamps. The sculpted bonnet, muscular wheel arches, and dual-tone alloy wheels add to its rugged appeal, while the sloping roofline gives it a coupe-like silhouette. At the rear, it sports connected LED tail-lamps and a chunky bumper.

Fronx SUV was unveiled at Auto Expo 2023, and now, in less than 2.5 years, the company has announced that it has sold a total of 5 lakh units in the Indian market.

The expected starting price of this car will be around Rs 8 lakh ex-showroom.

Maruti Suzuki New Micro-SUV

Some reports also suggest that Maruti Suzuki is preparing to enter the micro-SUV segment in India with an all-new model that is expected to launch soon. This model will positioned below the Brezza and it will compete with the cars like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter.

This SUV is specially design for the young urban buyers who want a stylish yet affordable compact SUV. In terms of design, the micro-SUV is likely to carry Maruti’s latest SUV-inspired styling cues with a bold front grille, high-mounted LED DRLs, squared-off wheel arches, and sporty alloy wheels, giving it a tough stance despite its compact size.

Inside, the cabin is expected to feature a modern layout with a touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity, steering-mounted controls, and multiple storage spaces, while still focusing on practicality and comfort. Safety features could include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

For the powertrain, the micro-SUV will likely use Maruti’s tried-and-tested 1.2-litre petrol engine, with both manual and AMT gearbox options, ensuring a balance of performance and mileage. A CNG variant may also be offered later, keeping in line with Maruti’s focus on efficiency.

Company may launch this SUV in 2026 and it will be launch at the starting price of Rs 7 to 9 lakh ex-showroom.
