Automobile company Renault is planning to update its entry-level hatchback Renault Kwid Facelift with a big changes. In the recent development this hatchback has been spotted during testing on the Indian road. The fresh spy shots from Indian roads reveal a sharper design and a more modern interior.
The highlight is a larger infotainment screen and Duster-inspired LED DRLs, making the Kwid look bolder and more premium. With this facelift, Renault is preparing the Kwid to stay competitive in India’s highly price-sensitive small car market.

Design of the Renault Kwid Facelift
Talking about the design the Renault Kwid Facelift front fascia now features Y-shaped LED DRLs and reshaped headlamp clusters that draw inspiration from the upcoming Duster.
It will also features a revised grille and bumper give the hatchback a stronger stance, while the rear looks cleaner with reworked tail lamps and a tidier bumper. Though the dimensions remain unchanged, the SUV-like styling elements add more road presence.
Renault Kwid Facelift: Powertrain
Renault Kwid facelift will likely continue with the proven 1.0-litre petrol engine delivering around 68 PS. For transmission this engine has been paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.
While global markets offer an electric version (as the Dacia Spring), the Indian facelift is expected to stick to petrol for now, with small tweaks for emissions and efficiency.
Renault Kwid Facelift: Cabin and Safety Features
Inside the cabin it will come equipped with the biggest upgrade is the new 8–10-inch infotainment system, supported by a refreshed UI for smoother connectivity.
Spy shots also show a revised steering wheel, updated dashboard layout, and a more modern digital or semi-digital instrument cluster. Improved upholstery and ergonomics are expected, making the cabin feel more premium than before.
Renault Kwid Facelift is expected to retain essentials like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a reverse camera. Reports suggest higher trims may add up to six airbags, aligning with rising safety demands in India. Enhanced safety features could give the Kwid an edge against rivals in the segment.

Renault Kwid Facelift: Price and Rivals in India
In Indian market, the current generation Kwid is priced between Rs 4.70 lakh and Rs 6.62 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelift is likely to carry a small premium but remain affordable for budget-conscious buyers.
Once launched, it will continue to rival the Maruti Alto K10, S-Presso, Tata Tiago, and Hyundai’s entry-level models, while offering SUV-inspired looks and a tech-loaded cabin at a competitive price.
With its refreshed styling, bigger screen, and upgraded safety, the Renault Kwid facelift could re-establish itself as a strong value-for-money hatchback in India.
