The 2026 Ducati Monster V2 has officially arrived in India with several important upgrades. While the iconic naked motorcycle retains its sporty character, Ducati has introduced a new engine, updated chassis, improved ergonomics, and a host of electronic rider aids.
The latest Monster V2 is also lighter than before and promises better everyday usability.

What’s New in 2026 Ducati Monster V2?
The biggest highlight of the 2026 Ducati Monster V2 is its all-new 890cc V-twin engine, which replaces the previous 937cc unit. The new engine is shared with the Ducati Multistrada V2, Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2.
Despite the smaller displacement, it continues to produce 111 hp, although peak power now arrives at 9,000 rpm. Peak torque stands at 91.1 Nm, which is slightly lower than before, but Ducati says nearly 80 percent of the torque is available between 4,000 rpm and 9,000 rpm, making the motorcycle more responsive in everyday riding.
The bike also benefits from Intake Variable Timing (IVT), which improves efficiency and extends the valve clearance inspection interval to 45,000 km.
Apart from the new engine, Ducati has also introduced a new monocoque chassis, replacing the previous aluminium frame. This change has helped reduce the overall weight by 5 kg, making the motorcycle easier to handle.
The fuel tank has been redesigned with a more muscular appearance while retaining its 14-litre capacity. The seat height has been lowered to 815 mm, and riders can further reduce it to 795 mm or even 775 mm using Ducati’s optional accessories.
Suspension duties are handled by a 43 mm Showa upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock. Braking comes from Brembo with twin 320 mm front discs and a 245 mm rear disc, while Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres provide grip.
The 2026 Monster V2 also receives an impressive list of electronic safety and convenience features. It comes equipped with multiple ride modes, power modes, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and cornering ABS as standard.
Other features include a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, full-LED lighting, bi-directional quickshifter, dynamic self-cancelling indicators, and support for optional accessories such as Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), cruise control, heated grips, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Ducati also offers a standard two-year unlimited kilometre warranty, while the service interval has been extended to 15,000 km or one year.
Pricing and Rivals
The 2026 Ducati Monster V2 is priced from Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the standard variant, while the Monster+ starts at Rs 14.34 lakh. Both models are available in Ducati Red, Iceberg White, and Sport Livery colour options. In India, the Monster V2 competes with premium middleweight naked motorcycles such as the Triumph Street Triple RS, KTM 990 Duke, BMW F 900 R, and Honda CB1000 Hornet.
