Maruti Suzuki Cars Get Costlier Again: Select Models Face Up to Rs 20,000 Price Hike

India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has officially announced another price increase across select models starting September 2026. Under this latest revision, buyers will face a Rs 20,000 price hike on specific variants as the company manages ongoing economic pressures.

This marks the carmaker’s third price revision since May 2026, following earlier portfolio-wide adjustments. Crucially, the Maruti Suzuki cars price increase does not apply uniformly across the entire lineup, meaning actual impact will vary depending on the chosen model.

Maruti Suzuki attributed this latest Maruti car price hike to sustained input cost inflation and an adverse operational environment. The automaker previously implemented price increases of up to Rs 30,000 in June and another hike of up to Rs 30,000 in August 2026.

While internal cost-reduction efforts helped absorb part of the burden, rising raw material expenses forced this third revision. For festive season buyers, these cumulative revisions steadily push up acquisition costs just as market demand peaks.

Which Maruti Cars Are Affected?

The Maruti Suzuki price hike September 2026 targets select models and trim levels rather than the whole range. While Maruti Suzuki’s extensive portfolio includes popular vehicles like the Baleno, Fronx, Brezza, Swift, Dzire, Grand Vitara, Victoris, Ertiga, XL6, Jimny, and e Vitara, official model-specific figures remain unconfirmed. Buyers should not assume every vehicle receives the maximum increase.

As Maruti cars costlier updates roll out to dealerships, prospective buyers should finalize bookings quickly to lock in current price quotes before the revised rates take full effect.
