Hyundai Creta Facelift in Work: What to Expect?
Hyundai could introduce the Hyundai Creta Facelift with changes aimed at giving the SUV a newer look and keeping it competitive against rivals. The Hyundai Creta Facelift is set to bring fresh interest to India’s popular mid-size SUV segment.
The Creta already has a strong presence in the Indian market, and the facelift could help Hyundai maintain its position. Buyers are now waiting for more details about the upcoming model, including its launch timeline, expected price and changes over the current version.
The new-generation Hyundai Creta has been spotted testing again in southern Spain. The SUV carries the SX3 codename and could be going through hot-weather tests. The test vehicle also had a towing dyno at the rear. This suggests that Hyundai is checking its towing ability and performance under heavy and continuous load.
Earlier test cars had thick box-style covers on the front and rear. The latest model uses a lighter camouflage wrap. This gives us a better idea of the design Hyundai could use on the new Creta.
New Hyundai Creta Design
The new Creta will follow Hyundai’s latest ‘Art of Steel’ design theme. It gets a sharper and more upright look than the current model. The test car shows a boxy body with a tall front section. Hyundai could offer H-shaped LED DRLs above LED projector headlamps. These lights could sit around a new grille. The front bumper also looks larger and could feature horizontal slats.
The side profile shows a sloping roof, flush door handles and round wheel arches. The SUV could also get sporty dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the new Creta is expected to feature a roof spoiler, a sloping rear windscreen and a wide boot lid. H-shaped LED tail lamps could match the lighting design at the front.
New Technology and Cabin
Hyundai could bring major technology upgrades with the new Creta. The SUV may use a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) system. This setup can allow Hyundai to add new functions and improvements through over-the-air updates. Owners may not need hardware changes for many future software upgrades.
The new Creta could also get Hyundai’s Pleos Connect system. A large central screen may combine several infotainment and vehicle functions. The interface could use three main sections to make important information easier to access. A slim digital display behind the steering wheel could show key details such as speed and navigation directions.

Engine and Hybrid Powertrain
For India, Hyundai could introduce a strong hybrid system with the new Creta. The setup may use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Hyundai could also continue the existing engine options with the new-generation SUV.
The company could launch the new Hyundai Creta later this year or in 2027. However, Hyundai has not confirmed the launch timeline yet.
