After introducing the updated Ioniq 5 in several international markets, Hyundai Motor Company is now preparing to bring the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift SUV to Indian shores. The refreshed model is expected to launch around August–September 2025, with test mules recently spotted undergoing road testing on Indian terrain.

The refreshed Ioniq 5 gets aero-focused design tweaks to improve efficiency and road presence. Key updates include, Redesigned front and rear bumpers, Wider front air intakes, Signature V-shaped front garnish, New aerodynamic alloy wheels, and A longer rear spoiler (extended by 50mm) to enhance airflow and downforce
Dimensionally, the facelifted Ioniq 5 measures 4,655mm in length, 1,890mm in width, 1,605mm in height, and maintains its generous 3,000mm wheelbase, ensuring ample cabin space.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift Interior: More Practical and User-Friendly
Inside the cabin, Hyundai has introduced several ergonomic improvements. The center console now features more physical buttons, replacing the earlier touchscreen-dependent setup. Functions like parking assist, ventilated seats, and heated steering wheel are now easier to access.
Additional upgrades include Refined wireless smartphone charging pad repositioned on top of the center console, Hyundai’s latest Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) with Enhanced graphics, Over-the-air (OTA) updates, and Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift Enhanced Safety and Ride Comfort
Hyundai has strengthened the body structure and suspension tuning of the new Ioniq 5 for a smoother and quieter ride. Noteworthy safety upgrades include: 8 airbags, Updated collision-avoidance systems, Reinforced insulation for the rear motor to reduce cabin noise, Structural enhancements to the body shell, B-pillars, and door sections to improve side-impact safety
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift Bigger Battery, Longer Range
Globally, the Ioniq 5 facelift now comes with a larger 84kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 570 km (WLTP) for the rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant. However, the India-spec model currently uses a 72.6kWh unit, and it’s still uncertain whether the larger battery will make it here.
New feature highlights may also include: Intelligent Front-lighting System (IFS), Digital Key 2.0, Second-generation built-in dashcam, and Remote seat folding for second row
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift: Expected Price and Launch Timeline
The current Ioniq 5 is priced at Rs 46.05 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. With these upgrades, the facelifted version is expected to carry a slight premium. Hyundai has not yet confirmed pricing, but industry estimates suggest a starting price north of Rs 48 lakh.
The facelifted Ioniq 5 is expected to debut around late Q3 2025, and Hyundai is likely to continue bringing it to India via the CBU (completely built unit) route.
