Skoda Slavia Facelift Production Begins in Pune, Launch Set for October
Skoda Auto India has started production of the Skoda Slavia Facelift at its Chakan plant in Pune. The facelifted sedan is now ready for its market launch, which is scheduled for October 6, 2026.
The new Slavia gets styling changes, additional features and a new automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre TSI engine. Skoda has also added a rear-seat massage function and a 360-degree camera, while the sedan continues with its existing turbo-petrol engine options.
Skoda Slavia facelift: Design changes
The updated Slavia retains its existing overall sedan shape but receives several styling changes. The front gets sharper LED headlamps, a revised grille and an updated bumper. The car also gets redesigned LED tail-lamps with sequential turn indicators and new alloy wheel designs.
Higher variants, including the Monte Carlo, continue with sportier exterior styling and blacked-out elements. The facelift keeps the familiar sedan profile but adds several changes to give it a fresher appearance.
New features in the Slavia facelift
The cabin gets updated colour themes and additional equipment. The facelift continues with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, while higher variants get a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
The infotainment system also gets an AI Companion powered by Google Cloud, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
One of the biggest additions is a rear-seat massage function. The sedan also gets a 360-degree Area View camera for better visibility while parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces.
Other equipment includes ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, wireless charging and a six-speaker audio system with a subwoofer. The Slavia continues with six airbags and its five-star Global NCAP safety rating.
New 8-speed automatic gearbox
The biggest mechanical change comes with the 1.0-litre TSI engine. This engine produces 115hp and 178Nm and continues with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Skoda has replaced the earlier 6-speed automatic with a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. This gives buyers another automatic transmission option in the entry-level petrol engine.
The larger 1.5-litre TSI engine continues to produce around 150hp and 250Nm. It comes with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Skoda Slavia facelift launch and price
Skoda has started production of the facelifted Slavia ahead of the festive season. The new sedan is scheduled to launch in India on October 6, 2026. Pre-bookings are already open for Rs. 15,000.
The company has not announced the official prices yet. The current Slavia is priced from around Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 18.19 lakh ex-showroom. The facelift is expected to receive a price revision when it goes on sale.
The updated sedan will continue to compete with the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City. With its revised styling, new features and 8-speed automatic gearbox, the Slavia facelift gets several important updates over the outgoing model.
