2027 Honda Rebel 500 Revealed: Know What It Will Offer
Honda has revealed the 2027 Honda Rebel 500 for the Indian market as part of its upcoming premium motorcycle lineup. The cruiser will return to India with a more localised production setup, unlike the earlier CBU model. Honda plans to source around 50 percent of the motorcycle’s components locally, while it will initially import the engine.
The new Rebel 500 will retain its distinctive bobber-style design and 471cc parallel-twin engine. Honda will also offer the motorcycle with its E-Clutch technology alongside the standard manual version.
The company has not announced the final price yet, but the new model could become more affordable than its previous version.

2027 Honda Rebel 500: Design, Fuel Tank, Tyres and Wheels
The new Honda Rebel 500 will retain its low-slung bobber-inspired design. It gets a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, round LED headlamp, two-piece seat, short exhaust and a tubular steel frame.
The motorcycle has a 690mm seat height, which should make it easier for riders to manage at low speeds. The India-spec model will also feature a circular TFT instrument cluster. The Rebel 500 uses a compact 11.2-litre fuel tank and a relaxed riding position with a wide handlebar and mid-set footpegs.
It rides on fat tyres measuring 130/90-16 at the front and 150/80-16 at the rear. However, the India-spec motorcycle uses 16-inch cast-alloy wheels rather than spoke wheels.
Honda Rebel 500 Engine, Top Speed, Mileage and Transmission
The Honda Rebel 500 will use a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin petrol engine. The India-spec version produces 46hp at 8,500rpm and 43.3Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The engine will come with a six-speed gearbox.
Honda will offer both a conventional manual version and an E-Clutch variant. The E-Clutch system can handle clutch operation during gear shifts while allowing the rider to use the clutch manually when required.
Honda has not announced the official top speed or ARAI mileage figure for the India-spec model. Based on the existing Rebel 500, riders can expect highway performance with a top speed of around 170kmph, while real-world mileage could remain around 25kmpl, depending on riding conditions.

The Rebel 500 will use a 41mm telescopic fork at the front and twin rear shock absorbers. The rear shocks get preload adjustment, while the front suspension offers 5.5 inches of travel. Braking duties will come from a 296mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc. Dual-channel ABS will be standard for the motorcycle.
The Rebel 500 also gets a tubular steel frame, 28-degree rake and a low 690mm seat height. These features should help provide a manageable riding position for daily use.
The motorcycle will also feature LED lighting and a circular TFT display. Honda has not confirmed features such as traction control or riding modes for the India-spec model.
