BMW iX3 M60 Adds 612hp Performance Version With 754km Range

BMW has expanded the new iX3 electric SUV range with the M60 xDrive, the most powerful version of the model so far. The new BMW iX3 M60 xDrive uses a dual-motor electric powertrain with all-wheel drive and produces 450kW, equivalent to 612hp.

It also develops 875Nm of maximum torque. The electric SUV can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 3.9 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 240kmph. BMW claims a maximum WLTP range of up to 754km, while the battery supports DC charging at up to 400kW.

BMW iX3 M60: Electric Powertrain and Performance

The iX3 M60 xDrive gets an electric motor on each axle. Together, the motors produce 450kW or 612hp and 875Nm. The SUV sends power to all four wheels through BMW’s electric xDrive system.

The performance version uses a 108.7kWh usable battery pack. BMW claims a 0-100kmph acceleration time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 240kmph. The SUV also features BMW’s Heart of Joy and M Dynamic Performance Control systems, which coordinate power delivery, braking, steering and energy recuperation.

BMW iX3 M60: Range and Charging

The BMW iX3 M60 xDrive offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 754km. Its 800V electrical architecture allows DC fast charging at up to 400kW. BMW says the SUV can recover up to 340km of range in 10 minutes when connected to a suitable high-power DC charger.

The model also supports AC charging at up to 22kW through BMW’s AC Charging Professional system.

BMW iX3 M60: Design and Features

The iX3 M60 gets several M-specific exterior elements. These include M Yellow Lights, M-specific aerodynamic details and standard 21-inch M light-alloy wheels. BMW also offers features such as the Iconic Glow grille and sporty exterior detailing.

Inside, the electric SUV gets a model-specific M steering wheel with Boost and M Mode buttons. M Sport seats, dedicated M displays and BMW Panoramic iDrive further distinguish the M60 from the standard versions.

BMW iX3 M60: Suspension and Handling

BMW equips the iX3 M60 with adaptive M suspension as standard. The SUV also gets variable sport steering and an electronically controlled M Sport differential.

The adaptive suspension continuously adjusts damping according to driving conditions. BMW says its Heart of Joy system processes key driving functions rapidly to improve the response of the electric SUV.

BMW iX3 M60: Launch and India Availability

BMW will open orders for the new iX3 M60 xDrive at the end of January 2027, while production will begin at BMW Group Plant Debrecen in Hungary in spring 2027. BMW has not announced pricing yet.

For India, BMW has already confirmed plans to introduce the standard iX3 in long-wheelbase form in 2027. The company has not yet confirmed whether the M60 xDrive will also come to India.
