Aston Martin Valhalla Spider Debuts With 1,064 HP Hybrid Powertrain: Full Details
Aston Martin has unveiled the Aston Martin Valhalla Spider, an open-top version of its mid-engined hybrid supercar. Revealed on October 28, 2026, the convertible combines a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three electric motors to deliver a combined output of 1,079 PS, equivalent to approximately 1,064 hp.
The new model retains the performance credentials of the Valhalla Coupe while introducing a removable roof, revised aerodynamics and changes to improve comfort during open-top driving.
It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h. Aston Martin plans to begin customer deliveries in the third quarter of 2027.

Aston Martin Valhalla Spider: Design and Exterior
The Aston Martin Valhalla Spider retains the coupe’s low-slung supercar proportions, sculpted bodywork and carbon-fibre construction. Its standout feature is a removable black fabric roof that owners can store when they want an open-cockpit driving experience. Buyers can also choose an optional carbon-fibre hardtop.
The car features Aston Martin’s signature dihedral doors, redesigned with frameless glass for easier entry and exit. Engineers have also developed a removable wind deflector that directs airflow over the occupants while maintaining cooling air supply to the engine.
The rear air-intake snorkel sits 35mm higher than the coupe’s version to accommodate the revised airflow.
Engine and Hybrid Powertrain
The Aston Martin Valhalla Spider uses a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that produces 828 PS. Three electric motors contribute another 251 PS, taking the combined output to 1,079 PS and 1,100 Nm of torque. Two electric motors power the front wheels, while the third integrates with the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission to assist the rear wheels.
This setup enables electric torque vectoring and precise power distribution. The supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 350 km/h. Aston Martin has also recalibrated the active aerodynamics and stability control systems for roof-off driving.
Aston Martin Valhalla Spider: Features and Technology
The Valhalla Spider features active aerodynamic elements that adjust downforce according to driving conditions. Aston Martin claims more than 600kg of downforce at 241 km/h with the roof fitted.
The rear wing rises in Race mode, while the braking system uses carbon-ceramic discs. The cabin gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay. A digital rear-view mirror, parking sensors and a surround-view camera also improve convenience.
The standard carbon-fibre Touring Seat focuses on comfort and easier entry, while buyers can opt for a more supportive carbon-fibre seat. The removable fabric roof limits top speed to 200 km/h when fitted.

Price and Rivals
Aston Martin has not officially announced the Valhalla Spider’s price. Deliveries will begin in the third quarter of 2027. The open-top hybrid supercar is expected to cost more than the Valhalla Coupe. Its potential rivals include the Ferrari 849 Testarossa Spider and other high-performance convertible supercars.
