Gautam Singhania Warns Indian Buyers Against Maserati: ‘Think Twice Before Buying’
Raymond Group Chairman and Managing Director Gautam Singhania has criticised Maserati following the luxury carmaker’s latest product launches in India. In an Instagram post, Singhania warned potential buyers to think twice before purchasing a Maserati, claiming that his unresolved issue with the brand still had no solution.
His remarks came on October 30, when Maserati introduced updated versions of the Grecale, GranTurismo and GranCabrio in India. The company also showcased the GT2 Stradale and opened a new Mumbai dealership in partnership with Navnit Motors.
Singhania’s post featured a video discussing the Maserati MC20, which he also owns. The video criticised the supercar’s ride quality, describing the suspension as uncomfortable even in its softest setting. The presenter also said that switching to Sport mode made the ride firmer and more unsettled.
Singhania wrote, “Maserati is relaunching in India. Think twice before buying. My issue still says unresolved as they have no answer to it!” He also accused the company of cheating Indian customers.
However, he did not publicly explain the exact nature of his complaint. Maserati’s response to his allegations was not available at the time of writing.
