Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) reported total sales of 4,65,115 units in May 2025. Of this, 4,17,256 units were sold in the domestic market, while exports stood at 47,859 units.
Compared to May 2024’s 4,92,447 units, this marks a 5.55% year-on-year decline. Domestic sales dropped by 7.4%, while exports grew 14.34% from 41,858 units a year ago.

Month-on-Month and Year-to-Date Performance of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India
On a month-on-month basis, HMSI recorded a 3.28% decline compared to April 2025, when sales stood at 4,80,896 units.
In terms of cumulative sales for the first two months of FY2025-26 (April and May), the company reported 9,45,979 units sold — 8,40,155 units in India and 1,05,824 units exported.
Global Milestone and Manufacturing Expansion
A major achievement for the company came as Honda celebrated the production of its 500 millionth two-wheeler globally — with an Activa scooter from the Vithalapur plant in Gujarat marking the milestone.
To support rising demand and future growth, HMSI also added a new production line at the same plant, boosting its manufacturing capabilities in India.
