Bajaj Auto is all set to revive one of its most iconic cruiser motorcycles the Bajaj Avenger Street 220.
After being discontinued for a brief period, the Street 220 is making a comeback with a refreshed design and the same laid-back riding DNA that made it a favorite among urban cruisers.
So, lets know about this bike and its expected features.
Design of Bajaj Avenger Street 220
Unlike its chrome-heavy sibling, the Avenger Cruise 220, the Street 220 takes a stealthier approach.
It features: Blacked-out alloy wheels, engine casing, and exhaust muffler, Matte-finished front and rear fenders, Fork gaiters and black rear-view mirrors, A compact flyscreen instead of the tall windshield, and No pillion backrest, giving it a cleaner, sportier rear profile
The overall stance remains low-slung and relaxed, with forward-set foot pegs and a wide handlebar—true to its cruiser roots.

Bajaj Avenger Street 220: Engine & Performance
Powering the Avenger Street 220 is the same 220cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine seen on the Cruise variant. It delivers 18.7 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. This engine ha been mated with 5-speed gearbox for smooth city and highway cruising
This setup offers a refined and torquey ride, ideal for long commutes and weekend getaways.

Bajaj Avenger Street 220: Features & Hardware
While the feature list remains basic, it covers all the essentials LED headlamp and tail lamp, Round LCD instrument cluster, Telescopic front forks with anti-friction bushings, 5-step adjustable twin rear shock absorbers, 280mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake, and Single-channel ABS for added safety
Dimensionally, the Street 220 is slightly shorter and lighter than the Cruise 220, with a wheelbase of 1,490 mm and a height of 1,070 mm.
Expected Price & Launch Timeline
Bajaj has already homologated the Avenger Street 220 under the Delhi Transport Department, indicating that the launch is just around the corner. It is expected to be priced at around ₹1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), making it slightly more affordable than the Cruise 220, which currently retails at ₹1.48 lakh.
The return of the Avenger Street 220 could give Bajaj a much-needed boost in the entry-level cruiser segment, especially with its urban-friendly design and proven mechanicals. Stay tuned for the official launch announcement in the coming weeks.
