Ducati Desmo450 MX: Performance and Engine Specs

At the heart of the Desmo450 MX is a powerful 449.6cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine featuring Ducati’s iconic Desmodromic valve system.

This race-tuned powertrain delivers an impressive 63.5 horsepower at 9,400 rpm and 53.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, with the redline extending up to 11,900 rpm. The bike is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox and a quickshifter, allowing rapid gear changes on the track.

Ducati Desmo450 MX: Lightweight Chassis and Suspension

Ducati’s first motocross bike uses a minimalist, lightweight aluminium frame built from just 11 components. The Desmo450 MX tips the scales at a wet weight of 104.8 kg (without fuel).

The motorcycle is suspended on fully adjustable Showa units, with 49mm front forks offering 310mm travel and a rear monoshock providing 301mm travel.

Braking is handled by Brembo calipers with Galfer discs — a 260mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear ensure superior stopping power.
