Hero Xpulse 450 Unveiled With 421cc Engine, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
Hero MotoCorp has finally unveiled the new Hero Xpulse 450 at EICMA 2026 in Milan. The new adventure motorcycle marks a major step up from the Xpulse 210, with a larger engine, upgraded suspension and advanced connectivity features.
It uses a newly developed 421cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 46.7hp and 38Nm of torque. The motorcycle also gets adjustable KYB front suspension and a large TFT display with built-in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Hero will introduce the Xpulse 450 in European markets first, followed by India. However, the company has not announced its India launch date or price yet.
Hero Xpulse 450: Design
The Hero Xpulse 450 follows a tall adventure motorcycle design with rally-inspired styling. It features a vertically positioned LED headlamp, a tall windscreen, wide handlebars and handguards. The motorcycle also gets a long single-piece seat, a high-mounted exhaust and a rear luggage rack.
Hero has added protective equipment, including an engine bash plate and radiator guard, to improve its off-road credentials. The motorcycle rides on wire-spoke wheels with a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. Block-pattern tyres, gold-finished front forks and a muscular fuel tank complete its rugged appearance.

Hero Xpulse 450: Powertrain
The new Hero Xpulse 450 uses a 421cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 46.7hp at 9,100rpm and 38Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch as standard. This represents a significant performance upgrade over the Xpulse 210, whose 210cc engine produces 24.6hp and 20.7Nm.
Hero has developed the new engine with inputs from its MotoSports rally programme. The company aims to offer stronger highway performance while retaining the low-speed control needed for off-road riding and adventure touring.
Hero Xpulse 450: Features, Suspension and Safety
The biggest feature highlight is the large TFT instrument display with built-in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Hero has also equipped the motorcycle with a 43mm KYB cartridge-type upside-down front fork offering 225mm travel and 22-step compression and rebound adjustment.
The front suspension offers 15mm more travel than the Xpulse 210. The motorcycle also gets multiple riding modes, traction control and switchable ABS, according to the showcased equipment. Its long-travel suspension and 21-inch front wheel support off-road riding. Hero has not yet released the complete production specification sheet.
Hero Xpulse 450: Price and Rivals
Hero has not announced the Xpulse 450’s India price or launch date. It will launch in Europe first, followed by India. The motorcycle will compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure range. Its final positioning will depend on its India pricing.
