Hero Xtreme 125R vs TVS Raider 125: The country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has launched its Hero Xtreme 125R bike at Hero World 2024. With a hyper-stylish design, the new Hero Xtreme 125R has been given a sharp, sporty and aggressive look.

This bike will compete with TVS Raider 125 in the country.

Hero Xtreme 125R vs TVS Raider 125: Design

The TVS Raider sports arrowhead-shaped side mirrors, split-style seats, a side-mounted exhaust system, all-LED lighting setup, a digital instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth, and alloy rims.

The Hero Xtreme 125R gets the same headlight unit as the Xtreme 200S, full LED lighting, with sharper tank extensions. Also, the bike looks sporty with angular side panels, high-set tail section and tire huger.

The latest bike Hero Xtreme 125R has a 124.7 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces power of 11.39ps and torque of 10.4 Nm.

The TVS Raider, on the other hand, is powered by a 124.8 cc, air-and-oil-cooled mill that produces 15.3 hp of maximum power and 11.2 Nm of peak torque. Raider is slightly better in terms of power.

For transmission, a 5-speed gearbox has been added to both the bikes.

Hero Xtreme 125R vs TVS Raider 125: Performance

Hero Xtreme 125R has a wheelbase of 1319 mm, weight of 136 kg and fuel tank capacity of 10 litres, while the weight of the Raider is 123 kg, its wheelbase is 1326 mm and it has a fuel tank of 10 litres.

The 125R is capable of a top speed of around 110 kmph and a mileage of 63 kmpl, while the Raider is capable of a top speed of 109 kmph and a mileage of 55 kmpl.

Hero Xtreme 125R vs TVS Raider 125: Features

Hero Xtreme 125R has disc/drum brake on the front wheel, drum brake on the rear wheel and Combined Braking System (CBS) for better handling. A similar setup is also available in TVS Raider with synchronised braking system.

To make the suspension comfortable, both the bikes have been provided with telescopic front forks. At the rear, these add hydraulic-type springs and a gas-charged 5-step adjustable mono-shock absorber respectively.

Hero Xtreme 125R vs TVS Raider 125: Which bike is value for Money?

Hero Xtreme 125R price in India starts at Rs 95,000, going up to Rs 99,500 for its top model. Whereas the starting price of TVS Raider ranges between Rs 95,201 to Rs 1.02 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

Both the bikes have many similar features, but our vote goes to the Extreme 125R. It has a compact look and more safety features. Its price is also lower than its competitor.
