HMSI Sales July 2026: Cumulative Volumes Hit 5.42 Lakh Units as Exports Surge 35%

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has reported a steady sales performance for July 2026, driven by an expanding international footprint and a highly resilient domestic presence. The country’s second-largest two-wheeler manufacturer dispatched a cumulative 5,42,934 units (domestic + exports) last month, registering a 5% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to the 515,378 units sold in July 2025.

In the domestic arena, demand remained largely flat but stable, with HMSI selling 476,436 units to post a marginal 2% growth over the 466,331 units recorded in the same month last year. The real growth driver was the export division, where overseas shipments skyrocketed by 35% YoY to 66,498 units, up from 49,047 units in July 2025.

Looking at the year-to-date performance for the current fiscal (April–July 2026), HMSI’s cumulative volumes stand at 21,54,596 units, tracking a solid 14% growth trajectory. Domestic sales for the four-month period crossed the 1.8-million mark at 18,89,975 units (up 11%), while year-to-date exports registered a matching 35% surge to settle at 2,64,621 units.

The company attributes this sustained momentum to a well-diversified product portfolio spanning from 100cc entry-level commuters to the premium 1833cc Gold Wing tourer, all supported by an expansive network of over 7,000 national touchpoints.

Moving forward, HMSI is gearing up for an aggressive premium market push, having announced a major 10-model onslaught for the Indian market. The upcoming lineup includes highly anticipated names like the CB500, ADV160 scooter, Rebel 300, Rebel 500, XR 300L, XR 300L Rally, and the QC3 electric scooter. While initial refreshes are set to arrive by the festive season, the rest of the premium rollout will extend through the end of the year and into the final quarter of FY2026-27.
