Honda Elevate Hybrid Coming Soon

Honda Cars India is gearing up to electrify its SUV portfolio with the much-anticipated Honda Elevate Hybrid. As per reports, the company is planning to launch this SUV during the festive season of 2026.

This hybrid version of the Elevate compact SUV will be equipped with Honda’s proven e:HEV technology, offering a compelling mix of performance, fuel efficiency, and eco-conscious engineering to a broader audience.

So, let’s find out what we can expect from this upcoming SUV.

Honda Elevate Hybrid: Powertrain

The Elevate Hybrid is expected to be equipped with a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine paired with dual electric motors, similar to the setup in the Honda City e:HEV. This engine will produce a maximum power of 126 hp and a peak torque of 253 Nm. For transmission, this engine will be mated to an e-CVT gearbox.

As per available information, this SUV will deliver a mileage of 25–27 km/l (ARAI-certified). The hybrid system intelligently switches between modes for optimal efficiency, making it ideal for both city commutes and highway cruising.

Honda Elevate Hybrid: Design

Now, let’s talk about the design of the Elevate Hybrid. It will retain the bold, upright stance of the standard model, with subtle hybrid-specific touches. It will be equipped with blue accents on the grille and badging, full LED headlamps with DRLs, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and hybrid-exclusive color options.

This car will measure 4,312 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase.

Honda Elevate Hybrid: Interior & Features

Honda is expected to load the Elevate Hybrid with a host of comfort, connectivity, and safety features. This car will be equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster with hybrid-specific graphics, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, rear AC vents, USB-C ports, and a panoramic sunroof (top trims).

For safety, it will be equipped with the Honda Sensing Suite, which includes Collision Mitigation Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

It will also feature 6 airbags (standard on mid to top trims), a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX mounts.

Expected Price & Launch Timeline

Honda is strategically positioning the Elevate Hybrid to compete directly with established hybrid SUVs like the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The base hybrid variant is expected to be priced between ₹16.5 lakh and ₹17 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-spec hybrid trim could range from ₹18 lakh to ₹20 lakh.

This pricing aims to strike a balance between premium features and fuel efficiency, making it an attractive option for eco-conscious urban buyers. The official launch is slated for the festive season of 2026, likely between October and November, with production set to take place at Honda’s Tapukara facility in Rajasthan.

The Elevate Hybrid will enter a growing segment of eco-conscious compact SUVs. While it may not match the 27.97 km/l mileage of the Hyryder or Grand Vitara, Honda’s brand trust, refined hybrid tech, and premium build quality could give it a strong edge.
