Honda ZR-V Launched in India at Rs 48 Lakh: Premium Hybrid SUV Arrives

Honda Cars India has officially launched the Honda ZR-V in the country at an introductory price of Rs. 47.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the brand’s new flagship SUV. Imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) from Japan, the ZR-V is available in a single fully loaded hybrid variant.

With sporty styling, a premium interior, advanced Honda SENSING safety technologies and an efficient strong-hybrid powertrain, the SUV aims to attract buyers looking for a premium alternative to rivals such as the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq and Nissan X-Trail.

Sporty Design Gives the ZR-V a Premium Road Presence

The Honda ZR-V follows the brand’s latest global design language with a sporty yet elegant appearance. It features a large gloss-black front grille, sleek full-LED headlamps, integrated LED daytime running lights and a sculpted front bumper.

The flowing shoulder line, muscular wheel arches and 18-inch alloy wheels enhance its dynamic stance, while slim LED tail lamps and a roof-mounted spoiler complete the rear profile.

Overall, the ZR-V blends the practicality of an SUV with the styling of a modern crossover, giving it a distinctive presence on Indian roads.

Dimensions

The Honda ZR-V measures 4,568mm in length, 1,840mm in width and 1,620mm in height, while its 2,655mm wheelbase ensures a spacious cabin. These dimensions position it between the Honda Elevate and CR-V in Honda’s global SUV lineup, offering generous passenger space, improved legroom and a comfortable ride for both city driving and long-distance journeys.

Powertrain

The Honda ZR-V is powered by a 2.0-litre e:HEV strong-hybrid petrol engine paired with an electric motor and Honda’s e-CVT automatic transmission. The hybrid system produces a combined output of 184hp and delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.8kmpl.

Buyers also get multiple drive modes, allowing the SUV to offer smooth performance in urban traffic while remaining efficient and refined on highways.

Premium Cabin Loaded With Features

Inside, the Honda ZR-V offers a premium cabin with soft-touch materials and leather upholstery. The dashboard houses a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a fully digital instrument cluster.

Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, powered front seats, a premium audio system and connected car features.

Honda has also equipped the SUV with its Honda SENSING suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, collision mitigation braking and several advanced driver assistance systems.
