 Hyundai India Ltd (HMIL), has released its sales report of June 2025 and as per the report company has sold around 60,924 units in June 2025, which is 6% year-on-year decline compared to June 2024. Company has sold around 64,803 units during the same period last year.

While domestic sales of the company has witnessed a notable dip, exports and SUV contributions provided a silver lining in an otherwise cautious market environment.

Hyundai India Domestic Sales Decline by 12%

Hyundai’s domestic sales fell by 12.1% from 50,103 units in June 2024 to 44,024 units in last month. The decline is attributed to Geopolitical tensions affecting consumer sentiment, Affordability issues in the small car segment, and Muted demand despite steady GDP growth

Tarun Garg COO of HMIL also acknowledged the challenges, “The geopolitical situation continued to affect market sentiment. However, we remain cautiously optimistic, supported by improving liquidity and upcoming production at our Talegaon plant.”

Hyundai India Exports Rise 15% YoY

Hyundai’s exports see growth of 15% by sending 16,900 units aboard in June 2025, up from 14,700 units in June 2024. This growth underscores Hyundai’s resilience in global markets and its strategic focus on international demand.

SUVs Lead the Charge: 67.6% of Domestic Sales

Since SUVs continued to be Hyundai’s strongest segment, contributing a massive 67.6% of total domestic sales in June 2025. Popular models like the Creta, Venue, Exter, and Tucson remained in high demand, helping Hyundai offset declines in hatchbacks and sedans.
