Hyundai has officially introduced the Genesis GV90, marking its largest and most luxurious all-electric flagship vehicle to date. This spacious seven-passenger SUV expands the luxury brand’s global portfolio to seven models.
Built at a new manufacturing facility in Ulsan, South Korea, the vehicle targets early next year for its market rollout. Company executives describe the release as a landmark moment that sets a new standard for future luxury electric mobility.

The Genesis GV90 showcases a bold visual language inspired by earlier concept designs. It features a distinctive dual-light bar that stretches across the vehicle’s width and converges neatly in the center.
Buyers can choose between standard trims with conventional swing doors and the specialized “Neolun” variant, which introduces unique coach doors that open outward from the middle.
This pillareless entry design gives the SUV a clean, futuristic profile while keeping its exterior clean and aerodynamic. A special “First Edition” model also features exclusive badging and unique exterior paint options.

Underneath its luxury exterior, the Genesis GV90 packs a high-performance electric motor system that delivers an impressive 660 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This robust power setup ensures rapid acceleration and effortless highway cruising for a large family vehicle.
Genesis estimates a pure-electric driving range of roughly 499km on a single battery charge, making it practical for long-distance trips. Pricing details remain officially unconfirmed, but industry experts expect it to command a steep premium reflecting its flagship status.
Will It Come to India?
Hyundai has not yet confirmed an official launch date for the Genesis GV90 in the Indian market. Because the brand currently focuses its Genesis luxury lineup primarily on North American and select global markets, an immediate release in India seems unlikely.
However, given Hyundai’s growing success in India’s premium vehicle segments, automotive enthusiasts remain hopeful that the company might consider introducing select Genesis electric vehicles here in the future as local charging infrastructure matures.
