Kawasaki is planning to increase its sale of Kawasaki KLX 230 in the Indian market by making it more cheaper.
Now, company has dramatically slashed the ex-showroom price of its rugged, dual-sport KLX 230 in India, bringing it down from Rs 3.30 lakh to just Rs 1.99 lakh, thanks to its shift to local manufacturing.
This steep price cut transforms the KLX 230 from a niche offering to a compelling value proposition bringing a Japanese dual-sport icon within reach of mainstream Indian riders.

Features of Kawasaki KLX 230
Kawasaki KLX 230 is a dirt bike. It maintains its slim, trail-ready silhouette minimal bodywork, aggressive dual-sport stance, and tall seating (880 mm).
This bike has been equipped with all LED headlamps, LED taillamps, long seats, and up-waist exhaust system.
Localisation brings subtle design tweaks like fresh decals, while ground clearance is now slightly lower at 255 mm.
KLX bike has been equipped with 233 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine generates maximum power of 19 hp at 7,800 rpm and 19 Nm of torque at 6,200 rpm. For transmission this engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
This bike has 37 mm telescopic fork with 220 mm travel up front and an updated Uni-Trak rear mono-shock with 233 mm travel.
The braking is handled by beefed-up 290 mm (front) and 230 mm (rear) discs, now with switchable single-channel ABS.

Price and Rivals
Kawasaki KLX 230 has been available at the starting price of Rs 1.99 lakh ex-showroom. It will compete with Hero Xpulse 210, which ranges between Rs 1.76–1.86 lakh ex-showroom.
