Kawasaki Z300 to Launch in India on October 20: Design, Engine, Suspension and Expected Price

Kawasaki is set to launch the new Kawasaki Z300 in India on October 20, 2026. The upcoming motorcycle will become the entry-level model in Kawasaki’s Z-series range and will sit below the Z900 in the company’s street-naked lineup.

Kawasaki has already showcased the motorcycle at an event in Bengaluru, while bookings are scheduled to open on October 19. The Z300 shares its platform and engine with the Ninja 300 but gets a naked streetfighter design and a more modern TFT instrument cluster.

Kawasaki is expected to announce the motorcycle’s final price, variants and complete specifications on October 20.

Kawasaki Z300: Design

The Kawasaki Z300 gets an aggressive streetfighter design inspired by the larger Z900. Unlike the fully faired Ninja 300, the new motorcycle features minimal bodywork, a muscular fuel tank and a sharp front section.

It also gets a wide, single-piece handlebar that creates a more upright riding position for everyday use. Kawasaki has showcased the Z300 in Green and Black colour options. The motorcycle also gets a modern TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, replacing the older semi-digital console used by the Ninja 300.

The new design gives Kawasaki an entry-level Z-series motorcycle with a more contemporary appearance and stronger visual connection to its larger street-naked models.

Kawasaki Z300: Powertrain

The Kawasaki Z300 is based on the Ninja 300 platform and is expected to use the same 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. The motor produces around 39hp and 26.1Nm of torque in the Ninja 300 and pairs with a six-speed gearbox.

Kawasaki has not yet published the Z300’s final technical specifications, so these figures should be treated as expected until the company confirms them on October 20. The twin-cylinder engine should give the Z300 smoother power delivery than many single-cylinder rivals.

The motorcycle could appeal to buyers looking for a refined streetfighter with a familiar Kawasaki engine and an upright riding position.

Kawasaki Z300: Suspension and Braking

The Kawasaki Z300 is expected to use conventional telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, similar to the Ninja 300. The motorcycle should ride on 17-inch alloy wheels and use disc brakes at both ends.

Reports indicate that the Z300 could get a 290mm front disc and a 220mm rear petal disc, along with dual-channel ABS. However, Kawasaki has not yet confirmed the complete suspension and braking specifications.

The company is expected to reveal the final technical details when it announces the price and variants on October 20. The new TFT display with smartphone connectivity will also give the Z300 a technology advantage over the current Ninja 300.

Kawasaki Z300: Expected Price and Rivals

Kawasaki has not announced the Z300’s price yet. The motorcycle could be priced below Rs. 3 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Ninja 300 currently costs Rs. 3.34 lakh. Its key rivals could include the KTM 390 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 310.
